报告简介:
Supramolecular chemistry has evolved as an international focal point for the construction of novel, high‐performance materials while maintaining self‐healing abilities, and stimulus‐responsive behavior. However, the rapid expansion of knowledge and capabilities in supramolecular materials has not yet been paralleled by an expansion in analytical and characterization research. We developed ion mobility‐mass spectrometry (IM‐MS) based method to address the characterization of these weakly bound (non‐covalent) and highly dynamic supramolecules. IM‐MS is, in principle, able to separate based on mass, charge, and shape and thus, becomes an excellent tool in characterizing supramolecular macrocycles, 2D giant shape‐persistent spoked wheel (>13 kDa), and 3D Platonic solids ( >18 kDa).
